Summary
Credit card transactions in Nance are displayed just like bank transactions, but clearly marked with the credit card as the source and reflected in your spending and repayment behavior.
How This Works in Nance
Nance treats credit cards as a separate account type, while still integrating them into your overall financial view.
How Credit Card Transactions Appear
On the Transactions page, credit card transactions show:
- Merchant / source name
- Amount (usually shown as expense when you spend)
- Category (auto-assigned like any other transaction)
- Time and date
- Account label → clearly marked as Credit Card
This helps you instantly distinguish between:
- Bank account spending
- Credit card spending
Inside Transaction Details
When you open a credit card transaction, you’ll see:
- Card used (e.g., HDFC Credit Card •••• 1234)
- Transaction amount and type
- Category and contact
- Payment mode (credit card)
- Transaction ID and narration
How Nance Treats Credit Card Spending
- Credit card transactions are treated as expenses at the time of spending
- They are included in:
- Insights and analytics
- Budgets and reports
What About Credit Card Payments?
- When you pay your credit card bill from your bank account:
- It is treated as a transfer (self-transfer), not an expense
- This avoids double counting:
- Once when you spend
- Again when you repay
Important to Know
- Credit cards sync just like bank accounts (automatic refresh system)
- They appear as a separate section in Profile
- You get a combined view of all spending across cards and banks
Spend now, pay later—but Nance tracks it the moment you spend.
